Katherine Heigl admits that she was brought up in a bubble of white and how this realization affected the way she raised her adopted, multiracial kids. The actress from "Firefly Lane", revealed to an interviewer that it did not matter how dark her skin color was to her. But after having a conversation with her Korean-American adopted sister, she noticed the differences in how people treated her and her. Meg was asked if the way she was treated differed when they were out together with their parents and then when they went alone. She said: 'Oh yes, I've seen everything and I've been there all the time! Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I made me feel." She became enraged at the time, and chose to channel her anger into help her adopted daughters. Heigl is married to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8 who is Black and was adopted in 2012.
