April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 in seventh grade. She began playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons which ignited her love for the art of songwriting. April Lockhart composed her very first song, Different, at age of 12. She spent a lot of hours at the age of 14 creating songs and practicing the music. She began writing with her father and her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April began to include other relevant topics into the"Take my Hand song for some of her friends, like peer-pressure problems and teenage suicide. Lockhart has a fan base of her own and also works as a lifestyle blogger under the well-known Ilia Clean Beauty brand. Her disability is a part of her character, but it's not all of the of the picture. As a result Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't hide her handicap, however it doesn't center around the issue either. What message is it sending? The message is that we are more than only our physical selves. Our identities are complicated and comprise a multitude of elements. Lockhart, via a video message from Nashville's home declares that I do not think that this should be a part of me. I'm much more than my physical self. My daily life isn't affected by it. I lead a normal, everyday life and find the solutions I have for my problems. Since it's part of my identity It's an issue worth discussing. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey is one that will last an entire lifetime. She inspires me on this front. Still, she admits going through phases when it comes to her body. She felt uncertain about clothing choices that showed off her arms. She now wears whatever she wants and posts photos in those outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. The journey itself is the most important thing that I'm not sure until you've arrived in self-love. It's true for all regardless of state of being. The idea of having people with you who know you and see your heart is really important because they'll also be the people that remind you of what are you worrying about?
