Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 for an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at age six. Comaneci would go on to become the Romanian gymnastics coach. She participated at the Romanian Junior Championships where she placed 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she took home three medals of gold. Then in 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all aspects. At her first competitive event at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals as well with one silver. She took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female in history to dismount the parallel bars with backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment started when she was a teenager. With her sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol was a part of the entertainment business during her teenage years. Her first job was as a figure skater, performing alongside her twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show known as Ice Capades. The shows featured skaters who were performed to music from the stage.

Susan Schull, Amanda Schull's mum is currently the leader of Hawaii Ballet. Amanda attended Punahou School in order to get an early education. Amanda Schull received a ballet award at Indiana University when she was 17. She was a student at classes at the Intensive Ballet Summer School, San Francisco during her journalism graduation. The Director of Summer Ballet School offered Amanda an opportunity to train in 1999 after her University scholarship was over. Amanda now becomes an San Francisco Ballet dancer. I was a gruelling 12 hour days cleaning floors and tearing down wallpaper with one child strapped on my back and the others crawling inside the playpen. Ha! It was all starting to form, but there was still a long way to go. For furnishing the space would be a huge effort both in time and money. Also, I had go to my favorite stores. In order to keep my budget intact, I went with three of my boys to look for bargains in estate sales. The weekly ritual was that we would walk through estate and garage sales on Saturdays and Thursdays, purchasing a mix of antique and brand new furniture. My next task was to spend my weekdays painting and sanding on our front lawn. It was a bit like this... That's when my interest in restoration of furniture started.
