Julia Fiona Roberts, born on October 28, 1967, at Atlanta in the United States to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer was the first Roberts to move to Atlanta. At an early age, her father was interested in theatre. When he was studying at Emory University, he performed in a variety of productions in Atlanta. In 1953, he enlisted in the Air Force, and was stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he acted in an production along with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, the couple got married and, in 1956, their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter as well as his spouse resigned from the military in the year 1957 after which they began enrolment with Walter in Tulane University. Walter began working for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter along with Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the children's local Saturday morning show on television called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they funded by themselves. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded The Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted 6 years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also also known as Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) in this time.
